Windows 98 - TweakUI - Remove "Shortcut to"

SUMMARY: Get rid of the shortcut text with Windows 98's TweakUI.

Tired of seeing the prefix "Shortcut to" on your Windows 98 shortcuts? Remove that text!
1. Access the Tweak UI Control Panel applet (if you do not have it installed, read the tip elsewhere in MalekTips).
2. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click on the "Explorer" tab.
3. Uncheck the box next to "Prefix 'Shortcut to' on new shortcuts" and press the "OK" button.


 


Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows 98 - TweakUI - Remove "Shortcut to"
