Digital Waterfall Photography - Where to Find Them?

SUMMARY: Where must you go to find waterfalls to photograph? They may be closer than you think.

You may have seen spectacular waterfall photos in the past, complete with the drama of the gushing water splashing on rocks, sparkling reflections, and leaves or moss to add local color, and thought, "where can I take a good waterfall photo?" Here are some places you should look:

* If you're near a national park, talk to a Park Ranger, or see if the park sells brochures (for example, in the Smoky Mountain National Park, they sell a $1 pamphlet with maps and descriptions of various waterfalls).

* Your local library or bookstore may have resources on where to find waterfalls close to your area. Look for "waterfall guides", "hiking guides to waterfalls", etc.

* Check Google or Yahoo. Try various queries, such as "New York waterfall" or "Georgia waterfall"
